Terms of Service – Mr Home Guy

Last Updated: December 1, 2025

These Terms of Service (the "Terms") govern your access to and use of the website www.mrhomeguy.com, any related pages or booking tools, and any services offered by Mr Home Guy (collectively, the "Services"). By accessing our website, requesting a quote, or booking a service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our website or book services.

1. Eligibility and Use of the Site

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use our Services. By using our website or booking services, you represent that:

  • You are at least 18 years of age;
  • You are using the Services for lawful purposes only; and
  • You will provide accurate and complete information when requested.

2. Nature of Our Services

Mr Home Guy provides TV mounting, move-in services, home technology setup, and related home services. We may perform services using our own employees, independent contractors, or vetted third-party technicians (collectively, "Technicians").

Unless we state otherwise in a written agreement, your contract for services is with Mr Home Guy, and we are responsible for coordinating the work performed by our Technicians.

3. Scheduling, Quotes, and Bookings

You may request or schedule services through our website, our online booking tool, or by phone, text, or email. When you book:

  • You agree to provide accurate contact details and service address;
  • You authorize us to contact you regarding your booking by phone, text, or email;
  • You understand that appointment windows are estimates and may vary due to traffic, building access, or job conditions.

Any prices or estimates provided before the visit are based on the information you provide. Final pricing may change if the actual conditions differ (for example, unusually high ceilings, extra wiring, additional devices, or structural issues). Your Technician will explain any material changes before proceeding where practical.

4. Customer Responsibilities

To help us complete your project safely and on time, you agree to:

  • Provide safe, clear access to the work area (including parking and building entry);
  • Ensure an adult 18 or older is present for the full service window;
  • Secure pets and personal belongings as needed for safety;
  • Confirm that any work requested is permitted by your landlord, building, or HOA;
  • Provide accurate information about wall type, existing wiring, and any known hazards.

We are not responsible for delays or additional costs caused by incomplete or inaccurate information, lack of access, or unsafe conditions at the job site.

5. Cancellations, Rescheduling, and No-Shows

We understand that plans can change. Our current cancellation and rescheduling rules, including any applicable fees, are posted in our booking tool and may be updated from time to time.

In general, if you need to cancel or reschedule, please do so as early as possible. Late cancellations, repeated rescheduling, or failure to be present during the appointment window may result in a fee to cover lost Technician time and travel.

6. Payments and Billing

Payment is typically due at the time of service completion unless otherwise specified in writing. By submitting a booking or payment method, you authorize us or our third-party payment processors to charge the amount shown for:

  • Services performed;
  • Any agreed-upon add-ons or materials;
  • Applicable taxes and fees.

We use secure third-party providers to process payments. We do not store your full credit card number on our systems. Your use of those payment processors may be subject to their own terms and privacy policies.

7. Technicians and Independent Contractors

Some or all services may be performed by independent contractors or subcontractors. These Technicians are required to follow our standards for professionalism, safety, and quality.

Nothing in these Terms creates an employment relationship between you and any Technician. You agree not to treat Technicians as your employees for tax or legal purposes and not to instruct them to perform work that is unsafe, illegal, or outside the agreed scope.

8. Property Conditions and Limitations

Our Technicians will use reasonable care when working in your home or business. However, certain conditions (such as hidden wiring or plumbing, brittle walls, or pre-existing damage) may create risks that cannot be fully known in advance.

You are responsible for:

  • Confirming that any mounting location can safely support the equipment;
  • Backing up any data on devices before we work on them;
  • Notifying us of unusual conditions (e.g., recent leaks, structural issues).

9. User Content, Photos, and Reviews

If you submit reviews, photos, testimonials, or other content about our Services, you grant Mr Home Guy a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, and display that content for marketing, advertising, and informational purposes, in any media now known or later developed.

You represent that any content you provide:

  • Is accurate and based on your honest experience;
  • Does not infringe the rights of any third party;
  • Does not contain unlawful, defamatory, or hateful material.

10. Communications and Text Messages

By providing your phone number or email, you consent to receiving communications related to your inquiries and bookings, including confirmations, reminders, updates, and follow-up messages. These may be sent by phone, text, or email.

Standard message and data rates may apply. You can opt out of non-essential marketing messages at any time, but we may still send transactional messages needed to complete your service.

11. No Warranties

We aim to provide high-quality, professional service. However, to the fullest extent permitted by law, the website and Services are provided "as is" and "as available," without any warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Mr Home Guy and its owners, employees, and Technicians will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or relating to your use of the website or Services, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Services will not exceed the total amount you paid to us for the specific service giving rise to the claim.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Mr Home Guy, its owners, employees, and Technicians from and against any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of:

  • Your use of the website or Services;
  • Your breach of these Terms;
  • Your violation of any law or third-party rights.

14. Third-Party Sites and Tools

Our website may link to third-party websites or use third-party scheduling, review, or payment tools. We are not responsible for the content, security, or privacy practices of those third parties. Your use of third-party services is governed by their own terms and policies.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the website or Services after any changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

16. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, without regard to its conflict of law principles.

Any dispute or claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Massachusetts, and you agree to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
